Sick of boring, bland meals?

One of the hardest things about eating healthy is that you are often eating the same ingredients. Chicken breasts, broccoli and sweet potato can get pretty old, pretty quickly if you don’t find a way to keep things interesting.

I’m a big advocate for using flavorful sauces to spice up your meals! Sure, you could use salsa or even a traditional basil pesto, but what if you could infuse a totally different flavor profile in a pesto? Enter, this Asian Pesto!

Asian Pesto

Asian flavors for the win!

I love asian flavors! Maybe because its flavors that I grew up with, but also I think it’s often a flavor profile that can be overlooked when trying to eat healthy.

This Asian Pesto is absolutely packed with flavor! The cilantro provides the perfect aromatic base for the pesto. To amp up the flavors even more, fresh ginger and garlic are used. Then the secret ingredient…. toasted sesame oil! This is literally my favorite ingredient to use in asian dishes because it provides so much flavor. You don’t need a lot of the sesame oil to jazz up a simple meal. And pairing it with this pesto, really takes any dish to the next level!

Asian Pesto

Quick and Easy

I love storing this pesto in an airtight container in the fridge. That way you can easily grab a spoonful and add it to any dish you are whipping up.

You could also freeze the pesto in individual portions in an ice cube tray. Then when you want to add it to, say, a warm noodle or Zoodle dish, just grab a pesto ice cube, and let the warm noodles/zoodles melt the pesto into your dish!

I think you’re gonna love this quick and easy pesto to bring some awesome new flavors to your meals!
