Back to School Snacks: Easy Frozen Yogurt Bites

It's Back to School Snack Time!

Are your kids going back to school? My daughter, Olivia, was getting ready to start her first week back in virtual school, so I knew that I needed to get ready with some easy snacks that she could grab and eat during lesson breaks.

The day before school started, we prepped a few easy snacks like:

  • Mini protein boxes
  • Fruit and yogurt parfaits, and...
  • DIY Trail mix

And, it only took us about 10 mins to make these snacks! (Check out this IG post for how to make these snacks!)

Easy make ahead snacks are the best way to take the pressure off of you, as the parent, to drop everything and make a snack for your kids when hunger strikes. It ensures that you always have healthy snacks ready for your kids, and, if your kids help you make the snacks, they will know exactly what they want to eat and be more willing to try new ingredients!

Easy Frozen Yogurt Bites

Make these easy frozen yogurt bites for a sweet and refreshing snack!

  • 4 oz your favorite yogurt, (we used peach and strawberry)
  • 1/2 serving vanilla protein powder
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup strawberries, (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup your fave granola
  • 1/2 tsp chai spice seasoning
  • 1 tbsp hemp hearts
  • 1 tbsp chopped pecan
  • 1 tbsp coconut flakes
  1. Take a silicone mold, with small compartments, and place it on a tray that can be transferred into the freezer.

  2. In a bowl, add the yogurt and protein powder and stir well till completely combined.

  3. Add fresh fruit or granola into the bottom of each compartment in the silicone mold.

  4. Top the fruit or granola with a spoonful of the protein yogurt. Smooth over the top to create a flat surface.

  5. If making the Chai Spiced Frozen Yogurt Bites, add the chai spice, pecans, coconut and hemp hearts into the bowl and stir well to combine.

  6. Scoop spoonfuls of the mixture into the silicone mold and smoother over the top to create a flat surface.

  7. Place the silicone mold into the freezer and allow to completely set, approx 2 hours or overnight depending on how big your frozen yogurt bites are.

  8. Once completely frozen, you can unmold the frozen yogurt bites, transfer them into an airtight container or resealable bag. Store in the freezer to keep them frozen.
