Eating Healthy Doesn't Mean Plain and Boring

No More Boring Meals!

One of the misconceptions that people have about eating healthy is that all the food is plain and boring.

This is wrong!

I am a firm believer that healthy food should always be delicious!

Here are 3 tips to help you bring more flavor and fun to your healthy meals.

Spice Things Up

Herbs and spices are a quick and easy way to add more flavor to your meals. There are so many kinds of dried and fresh herbs and spices available at your local grocery stores and from online stores. They have a myriad of flavors, heat levels and aromatics, to elevate

The key here is to not get in a rut, using the same spices every day. Instead, branch out and pick up some new herbs and spices from the store. You can then experiment with new flavor combos and how they work with different ingredients. This article shares some flavor combinations you can try with different ingredients.

You can also add new herbs and spices to some of your favorite recipes. For example, if you are eating chicken breast a lot but you are not doing anything with it, try adding some spices to it.

One of my faves is this quick and easy Spicy Sesame Zoodle Salad.

Make Use Of Deals

I love shopping for good food deals! Not only can you save money, but you can also get some inspiration for meals you can make that day or week. For example, when grocery shopping, look at any specials in the supermarket flyer, or check the aisles for discount deals.

I love to look for deals on produce, and then challenge myself to find ways to use that produce straight away, or within the next day or so.

You may have also received a gift card of some sort that relates to food. For example, around the holidays especially you can receive gift turkeys and hams, which are fantastic and can make a lot of meals. Change it up and do different things with these meats for a diverse week! You can also freeze any leftovers and then thaw them later in the month for easy protein additions to your meals.
