Lucy Watty: From Overwhelmed Mom-preneur to Productivity Queen

I am thrilled to share this exclusive interview with Lucy Watty, CEO of LJ Your Virtual PA, and fellow presenter at the upcoming virtual event, Embrace Your Power in Motherhood on July 5 at 2pm CST.

Lucy recently had her second daughter and has been absolutely incredible at building her business while having two young kids. I hope you will be as inspired as I am by Lucy and her answers to my questions below.

Here is my special interview with Lucy!

Exclusive Interview with Lucy Watty

Renata: Please introduce yourself and what you do.

Lucy: Thank you so much for asking me to share with you. I am super excited to be speaking alongside you on Embrace Your Power in Motherhood. So I’m Lucy, first and foremost I am a mummy of two beautiful little girls aged 6 and 8 months, and a wife. My passion in life is to empower other women, especially mums so I decided to use my skills and knowledge to become a virtual assistant. Last year, I also decided to launch a new mums blog called The Mumpreneur Diaries, alongside this there is a Facebook community that is a safe space for mums (anywhere on your journey) to make friendships, learn, get support and anything you need.

Renata: I am so excited to hear you speak at the upcoming Embrace Your Power in Motherhood event. What will you be speaking about?

Lucy: At ‘Embrace Your Power in Motherhood’ I will be sharing my story to becoming a mumpreneur and how I juggle building businesses while bringing up a young family. I’m excited to speak alongside you and Rachel Brown, and hopefully give some inspiration and support to all who attend the event.

Renata: Why is this topic so important for you and for other mothers/mothers-to-be to hear about?

Lucy: I think it is so important for us to know we don’t have to purely be “mum” which it is so easy to feel like we do and it’s easy to let life become this way. So many mums have a passion and so many mums want to have the flexibility to be present in their children’s lives as much as possible. I want to share how it is possible to do this without “waiting” for the perfect time.

Renata: Will you be giving away any special bonuses at this event?

Lucy: Yes, I will! I am so excited to release my new freebie at the event “5 Simple Steps to go from Overwhelmed Mumpreneur to Productivity Queen”. Although this is aimed at mumpreneurs, any mum could use these steps to become more productive in their lives.

Renata: What is one piece of advice you would give to mothers and mothers to be?

Lucy: One piece of advice I would give is follow your gut instinct. As a first time mum especially you can get so caught up in follow the “rules”. I get it, I was the same with my first. Trust that you know your baby, and trust that things don’t always go to plan. As an example, I bed shared with my second daughter for almost 6 months and still do on some occasions because that worked better for us and meant we both got better sleep. We need sleep to function.
